Vikings home and away opponents for 2020 season

Minnesota’s schedule will drop Thursday on NFL Network at 7 p.m. C.T., but in the meantime, at least Vikings fans have an idea of the teams on slate for 2020, per the team’s website.

The Vikings play the following opponents at home: the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and the Dallas Cowboys

Minnesota then goes on the road to face the following teams: the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks.

Besides the usual opponents from the NFC North, the Vikings have four games each from the AFC South and NFC South.  The team also has two games against the NFC East and NFC West.

It will be interesting to see how the schedule pans out on Thursday, but it’s gearing up to be a difficult one in my opinion. The Cowboys, Saints, Buccaneers, Titans and the Seahawks are all teams that have the potential to be pretty good.

The Texans looked like they regressed this offseason, but they were still a playoff team last year. The Panthers and the Jaguars both have the potential to improve after a disappointing 2019. We’ll see how many wins the Vikings get on the road in the non-conference part of the schedule.
