Minnesota did a big retooling of its roster this offseason, and just three games into the 2020 NFL season, the project doesn’t look to be a successful one.
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman had to answer some questions from reporters recently. Spielman said that everyone is working extremely hard. Here’s what else he said:
“On the defensive side, as we sat there and watched the tape, we’re improving each week,” Spielman said via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. “I know we have a lot of new faces, a lot of new starters on the defense. Coach [Zimmer] and the players down in the locker room have a very strong belief that we’re going to get this turned around. We just continue to work and get better each week.”
The Vikings get the 0-3 Texans on Sunday. The Texans have looked good at times, but their defense has looked porous. Same with the Vikings. Let’s see which team gives their fans a sliver of hope in Week 4.
