Vikings GM Rick Spielman calls draft pick Garrett Bradbury a ‘perfect fit’

The Vikings were lucky enough to draft offensive lineman Garrett Bradbury with the No. 18 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Bradbury projects as a center or guard and it was a question on whether or not he’d be available when the Vikings were on the clock.

Well, he was. And Vikings general manager Rick Spielman called him a perfect fit for the Vikings, via ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.

It gives the Vikings tons of flexibility on the offensive line. They can move Pat Elflein, who is the team’s center now, to guard, or move Bradbury to guard, a place where he has experience.

It’s not the sexy pick considering it’s an offensive lineman, but as we saw last season in Minnesota, that made all the difference for a team that was a win away from making the playoffs.
