Vikings get dominated in playoff loss to 49ers

The 2019 NFL season is over for the Minnesota Vikings.

After an upset in the wild card round against the Saints in New Orleans, the Vikings fell to the 49ers in the divisional round, 27-10.

The first half was close. The 49ers led just 14-10 at halftime.

But after that, the 49ers absolutely dominated both sides of the ball. While it’s tough to dispute San Francisco was the more well-rounded team, it also looked like the 49ers had two weeks off while the Vikings had just six days of rest.

The Vikings’ offensive line was absolutely dominated by the 49ers and Kirk Cousins nor Dalvin Cook weren’t able to get anything going.

On the other side of the ball, Jimmy Garaoppolo wasn’t great, but the Vikings’ run defense wasn’t, either. The Vikings ran for just 21 yards. The 49ers, meanwhile, ran for 186 yards.

If you’re a Vikings fan, it’s a season to be happy with, certainly. But you would have liked the last game to be a bit closer.
