Vikings G Dakota Dozier, who had issues with breathing after testing positive for COVID-19, went to the hospital earlier this week. On Sunday, Dozier left the hospital, according to a report.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Vikings guard is feeling much better now. The Vikings placed Dozier on the Reserve Practice Squad/COVID-19 list on Nov. 5. The team has yet to formally activate him off the list, but this is a step in the right direction.
Currently, there are five Vikings players on the COVID-19/Reserve list, including Dozier. Most recently, Minnesota placed DE Kenny Willekes on the list.
Starters C Garrett Bradbury and S Harrison Smith still reside on the list and are expected to miss Week 10. C Mason Cole will likely start in place of Bradbury. S Camryn Bynum will most likely start in place of Smith. LB Ryan Connelly is also a Minnesota player on the list.
Dozier started 16 games for the Vikings last year. He finished the 2021 preseason strong. Dozier can be useful depth for the team down the road. Hopefully, he can make a speedy recovery.
