Vikings finish 2nd in NFC North in PFF simulation

The 2020 NFL schedule was released last week.

The Vikings’ schedule isn’t exactly an easy one, especially the first five games.

The folks over at Pro Football Focus ran a simulation for the 2020 season. The Vikings finish with 8.4 wins, 0.3 behind the Packers for first in the NFC North.

The Vikings’ would finish as the seventh-best team in the NFC. The new playoff format, which now puts seven teams in the playoffs, would certainfly benefit the Vikings in this scenario.

To round out the NFC North, the Bears and Lions both finish with 7.4 wins.

In a similiar simulation last week over at NFL.com, the Vikings won the NFC North.
