During the Mike Zimmer era, the Vikings have mostly been competitive and the Lions have mostly been, well, not.
Due to that, Detroit has been on the receiving end of plenty of disappointing losses to Minnesota. According to the betting markets, that kind of thing is in the cards for Sunday.
According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Vikings are favored by 7.5 points over the Lions in Week 5. Based on their 1-3 record, the Vikings have a pretty big line here. Minnesota could very well play a decent game and pull away from Detroit to win by multiple possessions.
Minnesota’s 1-3 record probably affected the line slightly. The Vikings’ victory over the Browns probably changed things. Oh, well. At least people backing the Vikings get a better line to bet on. If that’s their prerogative.
