Well, Vikings fans. The 2019 season is a big one for you to prove yourself.
According to a recent report from Emory University, the Vikings rank as the league’s 24th-best fan base.

My approach to evaluating fan bases uses data on attendance, revenues, social media following and road attendance to develop statistical models of fan interest (more details here). The key is that the models are used to determine which city’s fans are more willing to spend or follow their teams after controlling for factors like market size and short-term changes in winning and losing.
For what it’s worth, the Vikings ranked ninth in the league last season in percentage of attendance filled.
To make matters worse with these rankings, the Vikings ranked last in the NFC North. The Packers ranked sixth, the Bears ranked eighth and the Lions ranked 22nd.
How much should you look into these rankings? I have no idea. If you’re a die-hard fan, you know what you are. If you’re not, that’s OK, too!
