Vikings earn statement win over Cowboys, move to 7-3

What a win from the Minnesota Vikings.

Without Linval Joseph, Adam Thielen and Trae Waynes, the Vikings came away with a 28-24 win over the Cowboys in Dallas on Sunday night.

That’s right! Kirk Cousins won a primetime game!

The Cowboys had a chance to win, inside the red zone with less than two minutes in the game and needing a touchdown to win, but linebacker Eric Kendricks made a huge play, deflecting a pass that led to turnover on downs.

The win improves the Vikings to 7-3, a game back from the Packers in the NFC North and 2.5 games ahead of the Rams, Eagles (who the Vikings have the tiebreaker over) and Panthers for the second wild card spot.

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was probably the best player on the field, finishing with 97 rushing yards and a touchdown to go with seven catches for 86 yards.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph caught a ridiculous touchdown catch to get the Vikings on the board, and ended with two touchdown catches on the day.

Cousins wasn’t great (he’s in a tough spot given Minnesota’s depth at receiver), but he was good enough to get the Vikings the win, completing 23 of 32 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns. Most importantly, he didn’t turn the ball over.

The Vikings head back to Minneapolis to host the Broncos in Week 11.
