With the Vikings’ 26-23 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday, Minnesota fell to 6-3 on the season.
That also slid them from fifth to eighth in USA TODAY’s Week 10 power rankings.
If the season ended today, the Vikings would be the sixth seed in the playoffs and would travel to play the Packers in the wild card round.
Things don’t get a whole lot easier for the Vikings in Week 10 when they travel to play the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys, who are coming off a win over the Giants on Monday Night Football, rank 12th in the rankings.
To round out the NFC North, the Packers rank sixth, the Lions rank 18th and the Bears rank 22nd.
