Vikings draft CB C.J. Henderson in Maurice Jones-Drew mock draft

The Vikings need help at cornerback heading into 2020. That’s no secret considering how badly the unit struggled last season and that the team could be without Xavier Rhodes, Mackensie Alexander and Trae Waynes.

That makes it very likely the team will draft a cornerback early in the 2020 NFL Draft.

In Maurice Jones-Drew’s latest mock draft at NFL.com, he has the Vikings addressing that position with the 25th pick, drafting C.J. Henderson out of Florida.

Here’s what MJD wrote about the pick:

Mike Zimmer loves his cornerbacks. Henderson excels in press coverage and is battle-tested.

Henderson has six interceptions over three seasons at Florida. In 2019, Henderson was First-Team All-SEC. The two prior years, he was Second-Team All-SEC.

Other positions to keep an eye on for the Vikings in the draft include safety, defensive line, wide receiver and offensive line.
