The Vikings will be going up against familiar face Teddy Bridgewater in Friday’s preseason opener in New Orleans.
After four seasons in Minnesota (and a nasty knee injury), Bridgewater is now in his second season as a backup for Saints legend Drew Brees.
Bridgewater will likely get the majority of the snaps in this one considering Brees probably won’t play.

Bridgewater was a member of the Saints when New Orleans beat the Vikings 30-20 on Oct. 28 last season, but this will be the first game in which Bridgewater will actually be under center against his former team.
This preseason is actually a pretty important one for Bridgewater. He’s on a one-year deal with the Saints, and if he has an impressive preseason, it could convince a team to sign him as a starter for 2020.
