Vikings DE Tashawn Bower plans to play in 2019 despite torn Achilles

After tearing his Achilles in March, Vikings defensive end Tashawn Bower intends to come back sometime during the 2019 season.

Per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, Bower said on coming back, “that’s definitely the plan.”

Well, that’s a lofty goal.

Normally, the timeline from a torn Achilles is about a year.

Of course, in the NFL, there’s always the pressure to return probably a little earlier than a player should.

A lot of that pressure probably stems from the fact that Bower is in the last year of his contract before becoming a restricted free agent.
