With training camp kicking off for teams, we’re unfortunately going to see a wave of injuries hit teams.
The first major injury came on Friday for the Vikings with the news that defensive end Tashawn Bower has a torn Achilles.
Bower is entering his third season in the NFL after being undrafted out of LSU. He’s appeared in seven games in the last two seasons with the Vikings.
It comes at bad timing contract wise for Bower, as he’s set to be a restricted free agent next season.
Talent-wise, it’s not a huge blow for the Vikings, but it doesn’t impact their depth and injuries are, of course, never fun.
