Vikings’ Dalvin Cook, Danielle Hunter donating Madden checks to North Memorial hospital

Dalvin Cook announced on Twitter that he donated his Madden check to North Memorial hospital, and shortly after, Danielle Hunter followed.

“I want to say THANK YOU to those who continue to put their lives on the line each day & fight COVID-19,” Cook said on Twitter, followed by a declaration to donate the money.

Danielle Hunter quote tweeted Cook’s original post and said that he would be “following your lead” in regards to donating the check.

Each player receives Madden video game royalty checks for being in the video game. According to SKOR North’s Darren Wolfson, Cook’s check will be around $17,000.

Other current and former Vikings players like wide receiver Adam Thielen, linebacker Anthony Barr and linebacker Chad Greenway have also given support in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Thielen gave $25,000 to Second Harvest Heartland. Barr is offering emergency grants through his foundation. And Greenway kicked off a Hunger Relief Campaign with a donation of $10,000.
