Vikings coach Mike Zimmer: ‘I never felt like the game was in our grasp’

The Vikings have found a variety of different ways to lose football games this year.

Minnesota has been dominated for all four quarters. The team has also lost leads and suffered defeats from game-winning, last-minute drives.

So even though the Vikings had the lead for much of the game on Sunday, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer wasn’t too comfortable.

“I never felt like the game was in our grasp,” Zimmer said, via the Star Tribune. “Even with 57 seconds left and he’s got the ball in his hands and no timeouts and all the young guys I’ve got [on the field] and playing different spots. It was pretty rough.”

Rodgers had the ball, but failed to pull off any miraculous comeback. Rookie defensive end D.J. Wonnum sacked the Packers quarterback, forcing a fumble and giving Minnesota the lead.
