As the Vikings prepare to take on the Packers in Week 2, they were without two key players in Wednesday’s practice.
Slot cornerback Mackensie Alexander, who dislocated his elbow in Week 1, sat out, as well as guard Pat Elflein, who was out with an undisclosed injury via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
This makes Tuesday’s signing of Brett Jones make a little more sense.
If Alexander can’t go on Sunday, expect Jayron Kearse to get more looks as the slot corner.
We’ll see how these two progress as the week moves along.
