On Tuesday, the Vikings announced their 2019 preseason opponents.
A look at the opponents, and projected days below:
Week 1 at Saints (Aug. 8-12)
Week 2 vs. Seahawks (Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. CT)
Week 3 vs. Cardinals (Aug. 22-25)
Week 4 at Bills (Aug. 29)
A few observations:
- The Vikings will get a look at Latavius Murray, Nick Easton and Marcus Sherels when they visit the Saints in New Orleans. Those three signed with the Saints via Minnesota this offseason.
- There’s a good chance the Seahawks game could be televised nationally with the 7 p.m. CT start.
- The Vikings won’t play the Cardinals during the 2019 season, so this will be fans’ last chance to see wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, assuming he retires at the end of the season.
- Week 4 against the Bills could be where the backup quarterback battle is determined. Sean Mannion and Kyle Sloter will compete for it.
