Vikings add more offensive line help with late-round picks

After drafting center Garrett Bradbury in the first round on Thursday night, we knew the Vikings weren’t done addressing the offensive line.

They proved that in the fourth round drafting guard Dru Samia out of Oklahoma and in the sixth round by drafting Oli Udoh out of Elon.

In 2018, Samia was a second-team All-American and projects to be at the very least a rotational offensive lineman with a chance to be a starter down the line. Samia received a fourth-round grade from Luke Easterling over at Draft Wire, so it feels like the Vikings got decent value.

As for Udoh, he’ll have to battle in training camp to crack a roster spot. NFL.com projects him as an NFL backup or a special teams player, which is about what you’d expect for a player selected in the sixth round.

Udah received a fifth-round grade from Easterling, so the Vikings might have gotten themselves a steal.

The Vikings invested in the offensive line in this draft. We’ll see if it pays off.
