Vikings 2019 practice squad tracker

Teams around the NFL are adding to their practice squads.

The Vikings are no different.

Here’s what we know as of Sunday, 12:44 p.m.

Browning, Keely, Collins and Davis

Thanks to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, we know four of the team’s 10 practice squad members.

The team will sign quarterback Jake Browning, defensive end Stacy Keely, tackle Aviante Collins and wide receiver Davion Davis to the practice squad.

No real surprises here. One player who will not be on the team’s practice squad is Kaare Vedvik, who was claimed by the Jets.

We’ll continue to update you as more moves are made.

Four more

Along with the names above, the Vikings are also adding fullback Khari Blasingame, linebacker Devante Downs, cornerback Nate Meadors, wide receiver Dillon Mitchell and linebacker Cameron Smith, the team announced.

That would put the number of players at nine with Tomasson reporting the team signed Davis.

We’ll see if that indeed is the case.

A kicker!

The Vikings rounded out their practice squad with a kicker!

Probably a smart idea. The Vikings signed kicker Chase McLaughlin to the practice squad.

McLaughlin went undrafted out of Illinois this offseason and signed with the Buffalo Bills. He was released despite hitting a 50-yard field goal in the team’s final preseason game . . . against the Vikings.
