Viking Splash Tour Dublin may never sail again as business faces liquidation

Dublin's famed Viking Splash tour may never sail again as its operators face liquidating the business.

But the future for the much beloved tour, known across Dublin for letting out a Viking roar as it travels through the city centre, could still be bright.

The current operators hope that they could be thrown a lifeline after parties showed interest in possibly taking over the business.

Creditors meetings are set to take place on November 26, the Irish Times reports.

The tour operator has not been offering journeys on the unique water and land experience since March, and it has been missed around the city centre where it was highly visible every day.

Tourists could often be seen in Viking hats with their arms in the air and cheering as they drove down the Quays, with the experience also including sailing at Grand Canal Dock.

There were 30 people employed by Viking Splash Tours when it ceased operation earlier this year.
