MOHALI: The Punjab vigilance department on Wednesday raided former additional director general of police (ADGP-rural) Rakesh Chandra's farmhouse in Kane Ka Bada village in Mohali.
Several vigilance vehicles reached the farmhouse of the former ADGP at 9am. The investigation — against Chandra in the disproportionate assets case as well as the case of illegally occupying forest land — continued till 2pm.
PWD officer Raman Goyal is also on the spot along with the vigilance team.
According to reports, the land where his farmhouse — built on three acres — stands belongs to the forest department.
