Viewers plan to boycott Love Island until controversial contestant is removed

Viewers plan to boycott Love Island until controversial Ollie Williams is removed from the series.

Fans want to see the new islander dropped from the ITV2 dating show after photos emerged of him with dead animals in Africa.

The viscount-in-waiting made his debut this weekend and almost immediately viewers took to Twitter to demand his removal, reports Manchester Evening News.

"Please boycott until Ollie Williams is removed," tweeted one.

"I hope others start switching off," said another.

"GET OLLIE OUT GET OLLIE OUT GET OLLIE OUT," shouted another.

Now-deleted images obtained by  The Sun  showed the 23-year-old with a series of animals.

Ollie is heir to the 2,000-acre Lanhydrock estate in Cornwall. His neighbours are Prince Charles and Camilla.

A spokesperson for ITV previously told  the Manchester Evening News  that Ollie is a conservationist and denied he is involved in hunting for sport.

"It is categorically untrue to suggest Ollie is involved in hunting for sport," they said.

"Ollie is a passionate conservationist and worked with an anti-poaching unit in Mozambique.

"Conservation is crucial to the survival of animals and as part of that work Ollie was involved in the culling of sick animals who were a threat to the health of the herd.

"There is a very big and important difference between trophy hunting and the conversation work Ollie has previously been involved in.

"At no point has Ollie organised or booked anybody to go to Africa to shoot game."
