Viewers of RTE's Claire Byrne Live all say the same thing after noticing one 'ridiculous' thing

Viewers slammed RTE's Claire Byrne Live on Monday night after noticing some 'ridiculous props' being used on the show.

In a segment with journalist Conor Pope, Claire discussed the impacts of inflation on the rising cost of living in Ireland and simple measures people can take to save money.

The pair made use of some 'strange' props to illustrate their points with fake petrol pumps and money.

Viewers were left confused by the segment as they joked: "What's the inflation on Claire's prop budget this year ?"

A second commenter said: "jaysus, "we can't afford the real stuff", Claire Byrne".

While a third asked: "Did they really have to bring in the petrol pumps?"

Others felt the segment was childish and unsuitable for the show aimed at adults as it airs at 10.30pm.

They said: "Can you not have a discussion without all the Idiotic shop dressing?"

Another wrote: "This reminds me of being in school and you had to bring in empty cartoons and packets to make a shop in the class to learn money!"

A third person said: "Remember when John Bowman hosted Questions and Answers in this slot, and they treated their viewers like reasonably intelligent adults?"

Some viewers even turned off the show saying they found the show to be tacky.

They said: "I'm out. I try to watch the show but the ridiculous props are just tacky. This show doesn't know what it is anymore."

Others sarcastically said: "Ah a bin with "inflation" on the side of it, now I know how inflation works! Thanks".

A second said: "If we didn't all understand what inflation is, they've provided a rubbish bin for illustration purposes. Excellent stuff."
