Viewers left "feeling sick" as Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid 'snog' live on GMB

Viewers were left feeling a little queasy after Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid kissed live on telly.

During today's instalment of Good Morning Britain, the two hosts shared a 'passionate moment', prompting many fans tuning in from home to flock to social media to react.

However, not all was what it seemed, as it was in fact clever camera trickery that made the presenters look like they were sitting close enough together to have a snog.

By using split screen editing, the clever GMB camera crew were able to line up the two hosts perfectly - enough so that the kiss almost looked scarily real.

But in reality, the two presenters remain two metres apart from each other - either side of their newsdesk - as part of the government's social distancing guidlines.

If one of them were to move too far out of the camera frame, they would vanish off screen.

Viewers watching the moment quickly headed to Twitter to share their initial reaction, with many claiming that the 'kiss' made them feel sick.

One unimpressed viewer tweeted: "ffs feels sick now gm #GMB".

Another added: "@susannareid100 & @piersmorgan kissing is either funny or disturbing and look at Morgan's hands".

"Vomit klaxon #gmb," A third commented.

"#GMB wtf am I watching," asked a fourth.

Another joked: "With the virtual kiss between Piers and Susanna, I had a feeling it would happen one day, it finally has. Good luck to them both is all I can say. @piersmorgan @susannareid100 @gmb It's a shame we are in this pandemic."
