Viewers floored by Sky Sports blunder with former Nottingham Forest star Lee Camp

Former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp was confused for Chile manager Edouardo Berizzo by Sky Sports.

During the coverage of Blackburn Rovers’ 0-0 draw with Wigan Athletic in the Championship on Monday night, the camera panned to a specator in the crowd. The caption read that the person in attendance was Chile manager Berizzo, who was at the game in order to watch Rovers and former Reds striker Ben Brereton Diaz in action.

The Argentine has been in charge of Chile since 2022, replacing Martin Lasarte in the role last year.

However, it turns out the person in question was actually former Forest man Camp, who was simply there to just take in the game. The goalkeeper is currently a free agent after leaving non-league side Wrexham in the summer after failing to play a game for the club.

The mistake by Sky was spotted by supporters on social media, who were quick to make light of it.
