Viewers are confused as to why Love Island stars do not wear clothes

Love Island viewers have expressed concern that the Islanders appear to be 'always cold' in South Africa.

The romance for the new winter series has moved to Cape Town.

Viewers have noticed the weather there seems to be a bit breezy, but the Islanders still wear bikinis and swim shorts during the day.

In Sunday night's episode of the ITV dating show Luke T rubbed his bestie Luke M's leg in a bid to keep him warm as the pair sat outdoors on the sun loungers in their shorts, clutching what appeared to be a warming drink.

The moment didn't go unnoticed by one viewer who shared a video cliip.

"Why won’t they let them put clothes on ... they’re always cold," they wrote.

"It wouldn't bother me if they had clothes on instead of sitting there freezing their bits off," said another viewer.

"Clothes does not get good ratings," mused another fan.

"So you’re telling me Love Island people have to be in bikinis even on windy/cold days????" asked another.

To be fair they do wear some clothes in the evenings (ITV)

Another viewer said: "They really should’ve considered Cape Town's weather before filming there. Anyone who lived there knows how cold it is."

And another commented: "This Love Island looks so cold."

Love Island, which launched in 2015, has previously filmed its summer series in Mallorca.

"The only thing I'm taking away is how windy and cold it looks," tweeted another fan about the TV villa in Cape Town.

"My favourite thing on #LoveIsland is when they pretend it isn’t cold and windy," said another.

And the scenes caused extra amusement with Storm Ciara sweeping the UK.

"Wow, it is so cold over there that Luke M and Luke T are basically snuggling to keep warm. Guessing the UK isn’t the only place dealing with windy vibes atm," said one fan.

This week the weather in Cape Town is forecast to be sunny and breezy.
