Viewers all saying same thing about 'dark and sinister' character in second episode of Kin

The second episode of the hit crime drama Kin aired on Sunday and viewers were all saying the same thing about one “dark and sinister” character.

The second season of the explosive crime show starring Aidan Gillen returned to screens last weekend after a long wait with people all agreeing that the new season of the bloody feud drama was well “worth the wait”.

Episode two dropped this evening and one character made a big impact on viewers. If you haven’t watched the episode yet, there are some spoilers ahead.

The synopsis for the second episode of the series taking over people’s Sunday nights read: “All hell breaks loose with the unexpected arrival of a family member.

“While Viking welcomes him with open arms, the rest of the family are not so pleased, most of all Amanda.”

The arrival was Brendan Kinsella, played by Francis Magee, who was just released from prison and within minutes of the show staring had already engaged in violence, smashing a bottle across the head of a bar tender working in a pub that he had entered to threaten someone who he alleged was a “rat” while they were locked up together.

Fans of the show found Brendan to be “terrifying”, adding that he was the stuff of nightmares.

One person posted: “Not loving the way this storyline with Bren is going. Very dark and sinister” and another agreed: "Holy Mother of Jasus. 'Bren The Da' in Kin is terrifying."

While another added: “Bren Kinsella will be appearing in the nightmares of many tonight.. that was epic.”

With one other person posting: “Bren Kinsella could manipulate the Tories out of power.”

Another shared this sentiment, adding: “The Bren fella is a character in Kin.”

More people agreed that Bren’s character was frightening, adding: “Brendan Kinsella is a frightening man.”

Another person posted: “Something tells me Bren won’t be alive come the end of this 2nd season. He’s defo going to piss off the wrong person!”

One more person added: “We're definitely heading for someone to kill Bren?”
