A Vietnamese woman in her early 20s is due to appear before a special court sitting this evening in connection with a €900,000 dugs seizure.
The woman was arrested after a huge haul of cannabis plants were found at a house in Tinarana, Killaloe, Co Clare on Friday.
The Clare Divisional Drugs Unit carried out the raid with support from local uniformed and plainclothes gardai, the Western Region Armed Support Unit and the Cork Garda Dog Unit.
A garda spokeswoman said: "A significant grow house has been discovered with the evidence of the production of cannabis at all stages (nursery, mature plants, dried plants).
"At this time, a large number of plants with an estimated street value of €900,000 pending analysis."
The woman was arrested at the scene and detained at Ennis Garda Station.
A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said: "Following an intelligence led operation that resulted in one arrest on 31st May 2019, a Vietnamese female in her early 20s is to be brought before a special sitting of Ennis District Court at 6pm today charged in connection with the case."
