The President of Vietnam will visit Thailand from May 27-29 at the invitation of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, marking his first trip since assuming office in April.

To Lam, who is also General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will be accompanied by his spouse during the official visit, which includes high-level meetings with Thai leaders and an audience with Their Majesties the King and Queen.

Mr To is due to hold talks with Prime Minister Anutin at Government House, with discussions set to focus on boosting their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Key areas include security cooperation, trade and economic integration under the "Three Connects" framework, as well as collaboration in science, technology and innovation, and more people-to-people exchanges.

Mr To will meet senior parliamentary leaders and preside over the opening of the Thailand–Vietnam Business Forum.
