Videos of Ohio State football’s second spring practice of 2023

Earlier, we took a look at a clip that gives us some hope for the Ohio State defensive back group.

Now, let’s just enjoy the fact that the Buckeyes are constantly back on the field over the course of the next 5 weeks or so. Spring always brings plenty of hope and that is happening for head coach Ryan Day and his program.

Like every team in college football, there is plenty of turnover from year to year and what we saw on the field last fall might be different from what we will see this fall.

Check out below some of the videos and pictures that were shared on Twitter after Ohio State’s second spring practice.

The quarterbacks

Breakdown

All eyes are on Kyle McCord and Devin Brown but transfer Tristan Gebbia (14) is getting some work in as well.

The offensive line

Breakdown

Just behind quarterback, this group has plenty of questions that need to be answered this spring after losing three starters from last year’s unit.

Freshman tight end Jelani Thurman

Breakdown

It’s not out of the question for Thurman to be in the mix for a spot on the two-deep behind starter Cade Stover.

More tight end action

Breakdown

Stover, Gee Scott Jr., and Joe Royer were the first three reps which could be the rotation but Thurman could force the coaches’ hand.

The defensive line

Breakdown

As outlined after the first practice, Jack Sawyer is fully back with the unit which only makes the group’s depth that much better.

Tug of war

Breakdown

Straight from the Urban Meyer era — competition for everything.

Cornerbacks Denzel Burke and Jordan Hancock

Breakdown

This group needs a big spring.

Offensive lineman getting sled work in

Thoughts

Ditto for the cornerbacks.

More of the quarterbacks

Thoughts

Devin Brown wearing No. 33 and throwing passes still looks a bit weird.

Marvin Harrison Jr. still returning punts

Thoughts

Still don’t like this…

Davison Igbinosun

Thoughts

Igbinosun is quickly becoming my favorite player on this team, he just needs to add one to his number.
