VIDEO: With Warriors peaking, Draymond Green says other teams are running out of luck

Speaking with reporters after the Golden State Warriors fell to the Portland Trail Blazers, 129-107, on the road, Draymond Green — who filled in the stat sheet with 9 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks — kept his chin up about the team’s prospects moving forward despite a slow start to the season.

“[Expletive] happens,” Green said. “… We got through it.”

But the 2015-16 Defensive Player of the Year maintains that the rest of the league is just riding on luck at this point.

“Sucks for everybody else …,” said Green. “Like I told you months ago, ain’t nobody on this team gonna stop this run. Somebody else gotta be lucky enough to do that. Luck might’ve run out.”

Relegating other teams’ ability to beat the Warriors to luck is a fine way to rile the competition. It will be interesting to see if the head games hold come playoffs.
