Video: What does Conor McGregor falling out of UFC rankings signal for fighting future?

Conor McGregor’s nearly decade-long run in the UFC rankings recently came to an end, when the former two-division champion fell out of the top 15 list for any weight class for the first time since 2013.

After being winless for nearly three years and having not fought in 18 months, McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) was clinging on to the No. 14 spot at lightweight, before he was eventually overtaken by more active names in the division.

Although he’s still one of the biggest stars in the sport, McGregor’s combination of inactivity, injury and general unpredictability makes it difficult to gauge when, where and against whom we could see him back in the octagon. And the fact he no longer has a ranking attached to his name only adds to the speculation.

So, what does the future hold for McGregor? Will see see him back in 2023?

Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Farah Hannoun, Nolan King and Brian “Goze” Garcia answered those questions and more with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia. You can watch their discussion in the video above. And don’t miss this week’s full episode below.

“Spinning Back Clique” is released each Monday LIVE on MMA Junkie’s YouTube channel.
