Video: Watch Tyson Fury throwing some lethal elbows with Darren Till at Team Kaobon

I’m sure that when lineal heavyweight boxing champion of the world Tyson Fury said he was going to dip his toe into the shark-infested waters of MMA, plenty of people rolled their eyes. But this is Tyson Fury we’re talking about, and with “The Gypsy King,” normal conventions don’t always apply.

Only a madman would use his R&R time between fights to jump into the WWE ring with a fellow seven-footer who probably outweighed him by almost 100 pounds. Yet (to his own promoter’s dismay) that’s exactly what Fury did.

So it should really be of no surprise to see this footage of Fury in the Team Kaobon cage in Liverpool working the mitts (well, mitt) with British UFC contender and managerial stablemate Darren Till.

Till had him throwing elbows and knees, with the occasional sprawl in between, as he put the undefeated heavyweight boxer through his paces in the cage. And those elbows certainly sounded SOLID.

We’re not saying this means Fury’s going to switch codes and start preparing for life inside the octagon but, if you’re a coach, there are plenty of transferrable skills already in the bank.

And, based on the way he was cracking the pads with a clearly-impressed Till, there’s certainly something to work with.
