Video: Watch the Bellator Dublin press conference feat. Michael ‘Venom’ Page

DUBLIN – Bellator are heading back to Ireland on September 27 for another dual-card event, with Bellator 227 and Bellator Europe 4.

The card will feature a newly-announced main event between Benson Henderson and newly-signed Myles Jury as well as an Anglo-Irish grudge match between welterweights Michael “Venom” Page and Richard Kiely.

Henderson (27-8 MMA; 4-3 BMMA) has won three consecutive fights, which has effectively put his 1-3 Bellator start in the rear-view mirror. The MMA Lab competitor’s most recent victory was a split decision over Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 220.

Jury (17-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) makes the jump over to Bellator after competing for the UFC since 2012. The TriStar fighter has lost two bouts in a row, most recently a decision to Andre Fili at UFC on ESPN 1.

Page (14-1 MMA, 10-1 BMMA) will be looking to bounce back into the win column after his knockout loss to Douglas Lima in the semi-finals of the Bellator welterweight grand prix at Bellator 221. It was the first loss of the Brit’s professional career.

Now the London native is set to face exciting Dubliner Kiely (3-1 MMA, 1-0 BMMA), who kicked off his Bellator career with a first-round knockout of Mickael Bucher on home soil at Bellator 217 back in February.

The pair have been exchanging social media jabs ever since injury forced Kiely to withdraw from his scheduled fight with Page’s London Shootfighters teammate Galore Bofando at Bellator Europe 3 in London. And now the pair are set to swap the Twittersphere for the Bellator cage as they face off for real.

The Bellator 227 portion of the evening’s card will simulcast on tape delay in the U.S. on Paramount and DAZN. The Bellator Europe 4 portion of the card, headlined by James Gallagher vs. Kal Ellenor, will stream live in the U.S. on the Bellator app and MMA Junkie.
