NEW YORK — The public got its first taste of what’s in store for UFC 244 at Thursday’s news conference.
Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz showed up for the event at The Rooftop at Pier 17, which promoted their main event for the Nov. 2 card at Madison Square Garden.
And while the news conference itself lacked much in the way of fireworks, as the duo were respectful to one another, the intensity of the staredown after the event was all the hint you needed as to what will go down when the top-ranked welterweights step into the octagon to determine “the baddest mother(expletive) in the game.”
There’s still a month and a half left until the big fight. But to whet your appetite for when Masvidal and Diaz throw down, you can watch their first faceoff in the video above.
