VIDEO: Thunder score 6 points in 5 seconds to cut Grizzlies’ halftime lead

The Oklahoma City Thunder, who had only hit one 3-pointer in the entire second quarter, made two from deep in the final five seconds of the half to cut the Memphis Grizzlies’ lead to 63-60 at the midway point.

Following Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant’s free throws with 11 seconds left, the Thunder pushed the ball up court and Chris Paul found Danilo Gallinari open for three.

On the inbounds pass, the ball bounced out of Morant’s hands. Paul gained control and drilled a 3 from the corner at the buzzer.

Suddenly, after what had been a disastrous second quarter and a nine-point deficit with less than 10 seconds to go, the Thunder only trailed by 3.

The Thunder went into halftime 10-for-24 from 3, though seven of those were made in the first quarter.

Paul had 13 points and five assists while Gallinari had eight points.

Lu Dort led the Thunder with 14 points in the first half. He was 4-for-5 from the 3-point line.
