VIDEO: Thunder can’t contain Suns’ Devin Booker and his half court shot

After taking a 14-point lead into the second quarter, the Oklahoma City Thunder found themselves trailing the Phoenix Suns at halftime.

The Suns, who remain the only undefeated team in the bubble, had an offensive explosion in the second and third quarters, outscoring the Thunder 75-44 over those two quarters and beat Oklahoma City 128-101.

While some Suns defense, particularly from Jevon Carter, was stifling, it was all the more difficult for the Thunder to get back into the game when Suns guard Devin Booker was making the shots he was.

Booker finished the game with 35 points in just three quarters of play, none of which were crazier than this deep, deep shot.

With the shot clock winding down, Booker knew he wouldn’t receive any more space than the distance he had from Lu Dort at that moment. He pulled up, flat-footed, from 39 feet.

That shot put Booker above 30 points. It’s his 90th career 30-point game, tying him with six-time All-Star Walter Davis for the most in Suns history.

Phoenix managed to remain in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race for the play-in game, and the Thunder can take solace in the loss by remembering five of their usual rotation places, including three starters, were out.
