This week: reopening, raids, Squid Games and B600M concerts
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said that he will open up the country to fully vaccinated foreign tourists from at least 10 countries on Nov 1.
The prime minister named the United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany, China and the United States among the first group of countries.
Pattaya police raided a karaoke bar on Monday and arrested 27 customers and a staff member.
The bar was open later than legal hours and patrons were being served alcoholic drinks.
Police warned that Squid Game, a popular South Korean survival drama on Netflix, contains violent scenes that could leave a negative impression on viewers.
Police said the show has scenes of murder, and could lead viewers to engage in crimes in real life.
The Tourism and Sports Ministry expects to spend up to 600 million baht on two concerts in Bangkok and Phuket.
Two artists -- Blackpink's 'Lisa' and opera star Andrea Bocelli -- will perform. No dates have been confirmed for the concerts.
