Video: This double submission from Sotaro Yamada looks absolutely terrifying

Sotaro Yamada had quite the performance at Quintet Fight Night 4, but this particular moment was absolutely incredible.

Yamada, a Japanese MMA veteran with experience under the ZST, DEEP and Pancrase banners, was competing as a member of Team Carpe Diem, who claimed victory at Saturday’s Quintet Fight Night 4 event in Tokyo, which streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.. He grappled four times on the night, submitting Youngseung Cho, Gyeongseop Lee and Yoichi Fukumoto, while drawing with Jun Yong Cho.

But it was this double submission over Team K-Top BJJ’s Lee that stood out as the most spectacular (unless, of course, you’re Lee, in which case it probably just absolutely sucked). Check out the grappling violence in the video above.

Fight footage courtesy of UFC Fight Pass, the UFC’s official digital subscription service, which is currently offering a seven-day free trial. UFC Fight Pass gives fans access to exclusive live UFC events and fights, exclusive live MMA and combat sports events from around the world, exclusive original and behind the scenes content and unprecedented 24-7 access to the world’s biggest fight library.
