Video shows UFC welterweight Jordan Williams stop man from stealing his car

A would-be car thief got more than he bargained for when he tried stealing the car of a UFC fighter.

On Wednesday, UFC welterweight Jordan Williams shared surveillance video of an incident that took place outside of a gas station in which a man attempted to steal his car. Williams was in the gas station’s convenience store when the man successfully entered his car, started it and was able to back up, but he didn’t get far. When Williams realized what was happening, he charged the driver’s side, opened the door, and threw some knees while grabbing onto the man before throwing him out of the card.

The video shows the man wisely running away and grabbing his forehead as he fled the scene.

Williams released the footage and shared his account of what happened on Instagram:

So someone tried to steal my car today 😐
#thatfannypacktho

If you are wondering why my car was still on its the same reason why he couldn’t drive away, I have a push to start and my car won’t go unless the keys are within 5 ft of it and I have them on me always. Needless to say my lesson was learned and I hope so was his.

Wish I would of hit him with the trip after the clinch work when I tossed him out of the whip, and finish off with some ground and pound but I’ll settle with getting my car back 🤦🏾‍♂️

Also I know you see the stillness of that fannypack, fannyback game was on point this could be a commercial for them 😂

This isn’t the first time a would-be thief picked the wrong person’s car. In May, Derrick Lewis was forced to take action when he stopped a man from breaking into his truck. He posted an image of his bruised knuckles, suggesting that he had to take matters in his own hands until Houston police arrived to the scene.

Williams, a Dana White’s Contender Series alum, was last seen in the octagon in July when he was submitted by Mickey Gall in his welterweight debut.
