Dec. 16--Police on Tuesday released surveillance video of a man who is suspected of opening fire at the Standard hotel in downtown Los Angeles, killing a 22-year-old man.
The shooting, which occurred about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the hotel at Flower and 6th streets, also left three men injured. They are hospitalized in stable condition, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The modernist 12-story hotel occupies the former headquarters of Superior Oil. Police said a group of men were in a fight with another group of men.
At some point, a man -- described as black, with cornrows, brown eyes and a black mustache -- brandished a handgun and fired several rounds, police said.

Two men were shot in front of the hotel. Another man, Thomas Johnson, ran through the hotel's ground floor to the rear entry, where he and another man were shot, police said.
Johnson later died at the hospital.
An employee, who did not want to be identified because he was not allowed to speak to media, said a parking attendant found a handgun about 9 a.m. Sunday in a parking lot nearby.
In a company statement, Standard International Management said it was cooperating with law enforcement.
"We are shocked and outraged by the act of violence," the company said, adding that the shooting was "the latest example of increasing street crime and gun violence in Los Angeles."
Overall, violent crime in the LAPD's Central Division -- which covers parts of downtown, skid row and Chinatown -- was up more than 55% through Nov. 21 compared with the same period last year.
To stem the rising crime, the LAPD has added more police officers to the area, including from the department's elite Metropolitan Division.
