Video shows Sefton Park in a terrible state after Fusion Festival

Video of Sefton Park in the aftermath of Fusion Festival shows the grounds have been left in disrepair.

The footage and images show the main field in Sefton Park left muddy and covered in tyre tracks following its first ever Fusion Festival.

The south Liverpool park was host to Fusion Presents and Fusion Festival last weekend, as the renowned event made the move from Otterspool Promenade.

The site is covered in muddy tyre tracks and a pile of wheelie bins and wooden pallets still await clean up.

Twitter user @RPichilingi also shared photos of the site online in a post that read: “Not content with ruining the grounds at Otterspool prom for 3yrs, Fusion fest have now left the well loved main field in Sefton Park like this...shame on you!”.

Damien Sanders, event director of Fusion Festival, said: "We had a fantastic weekend at Sefton Park, with three days of brilliant fun and music.

"We had lots of comments from audience members enjoying the new location this year.

"We pride ourselves in looking after the park and commencing clean up in a prompt fashion, we had a team working hard to breakdown the site and tidy the park as soon as the event finished on Sunday night and we are still in the process of clean up and working hard to ensure we protect Sefton Park and leave it in a tidy condition and start the process of repairing and reseeding any damaged areas".
