Video shows Neil Warnock stare down officials after sickening Cardiff City loss to Chelsea

Neil Warnock summed up the emotion of most Cardiff City fans after a controversial 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Warnock was left shocked by the poor performance from the officials after the game.

The reason was the clear offside goal that was allowed against his side as Cesar Azpilicueta scored in the 84th minute to cancel out Victor Camarasa’s opener for the hosts.

But it wasn’t just that moment which frustrated Warnock as Antonio Rudiger escaped a red card despite clearly being the last man as he committed a foul.

Rather than shout or even talk to the officials post-match, Warnock went over and held his hands on his head and stared down the officials as the video below shows.

It was one of those classic moments which summed up the bewilderment around the incidents which arguably not only cost Cardiff one point before all three.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek put the nail in Cardiff’s coffin when he netted the winner in the 91 minute. It leaves the Welsh side five points adrift of safety with seven games left in the campaign.
