A lifeboat crew were called out to rescue a windsurfer who had fallen from his board amid Storm Dennis.
As 45mph winds hit the shore at Gullane in East Lothian, the rescuers sailed through choppy waters to get to the casualty on Sunday afternoon.
The alarm was raised by someone on the shore, who pointed out the windsurfer's location.
The North Berwick Lifeboat was able to pull the man from the water and get him back to shore safely. He did not require medical attention.

A video of the incident shows one of the team shouting "grab him, quick" as they approach the windsurfer. He then shouts "go, go, go" after the casualty is hauled on board.
The lifeboat team praised the casualty's preparation.
North Berwick RNLI Lifeboat said: "The wind surfer had 20 years experience.
"Our job was made easier by him carrying a mobile phone and an emergency positioning beacon in his lifejacket as well as shore cover.
"Testing conditions but a good out come due to preparation on the casualties behalf and training, experience and confidence in our equipment by the crew."
North Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team said: "A successful outcome with thanks to the first informant for making a speedy call on 999 to the coastguard.
"Remember, if you see someone or something you are concerned about on the shoreline, cliffs, mud or water, call 999 immediately and ask for the coastguard. If in doubt, call!"
