Here is the shocking moment a bottle is smashed over the head of a man in one of Dublin's busiest streets.
The video shows an argument erupting between three people on a green area in Smithfield Square in the capital.
One topless man can be seen sitting as another man and woman can be seen pushing each other, Dublin Live reports.
It appears as if the woman is trying to prevent the man from going towards the other who is sitting down looking in the other direction.
The man standing then picks up a bottle before running up behind the other man and smashing it over his head with force.
The bottle breaks over the victim's head before he gets up, turns, and then falls to the ground.
The assailant then runs away as the woman walks behind him.
Gardai have been contacted for comment.
The video went viral on social media with an image of spinning bottle edited into the video.
