A dramatic video shows the moment police tasered a burglar who has been sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in prison after brandishing a knife at a woman in her home.
Jacek Gralak was arrested by Kent Police after threatening people inside two homes and on the street outside.
The 25-year-old from Gravesend pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated burglary, actual bodily harm and possessing a bladed article.
In the video police can be seen tasering Gralak, who is carrying a knife, before apprehending him.
The incident happened on Christmas Eve 2020, when a man living at an address in Wrotham Road returned from putting rubbish in his skip to find Gralak in his living room.
Gralak pushed the man and lunged at him several times with a knife but failed to make contact with the victim before fleeing the scene.
Having made his way towards the junction with Essex Road, Gralak then pulled a knife on a different man and kicked him to the floor before running away when members of the public intervened.

Gralak then forced his way into a nearby property where the police body camera footage shows the taser being deployed.
Prior to that Gralak had punched and kicked a man inside the Essex Road address before then threatening him with a knife.
After the man retreated into a conservatory for safety, Kent Police officers arrived to find a woman running from the kitchen after initially attempting to hold the door shut to keep Gralak on the other side.
Officers got themselves between the woman and Gralak before discharging a taser to bring him under control and prevent further harm.
Gralak was taken to a local hospital for a precautionary check where he elbowed a police constable who had prevented him from urinating against a wall.
Detective constable Helen Cole said: “Gralak inflicted a huge amount of terror upon victims he indiscriminately targeted.
“His offending was excessively violent, completely senseless and has understandably had a profound impact on the people he threatened and assaulted.
“He has shown himself to be a highly dangerous man who has absolutely zero regard for anyone else.
“The officers who were first on scene took quick and decisive action to bring Gralak under control and stop him causing further harm.
“I am pleased that a strong custodial sentence has now been imposed, and I hope this outcome provides the victims with a degree of closure.”
