Video shows huge blaze engulf BMW parked near City Hall

This is the moment a blaze engulfed a BMW as it was parked in Bristol city centre this afternoon (February 12).

Firefighters were called to Frog Lane, near City Hall, just after noon to reports of a vehicle alight.

Crews from Temple attended the blaze, which is believed to have started accidentally.

An Avon Fire and Rescue service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of car fire at 12:09pm.

"Temple fire station sent one appliance. Firefighters used one breathing apparatus and a high pressures hose reel to extinguish the fire.

"It was a single vehicle fire -a BMW - and the cause is thought to be accidental."
