Video shows Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand and Lampard go wild after England Euro 2020 goal in final

Pundits on the BBC may be expected to have some level of impartiality but that didn't stop the likes of Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer celebrating wildly when England netted their early goal against Italy.

In the half-time analysis of the Euro 2020 final, Lineker introduced footage to show his fellow BBC pundits the scenes which had unfolded inside the first two minutes of the game when Luke Shaw scored.

They weren't the only excited fans, as young Prince George had a brilliant reaction to the defender's early goal. Read more, here.

Back in the studio, Gary and the pundits - ex-Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, former Man United defender Rio Ferdinand and Newcastle legend Alan Shearer - were seen jumping out of their seats in elation after the final's first (and at that point only) goal.

Cutting back to the pundits in the studio, Gary said: "Oh God, this is us.

"It gets to us all doesn't it. It really does get to us all."

"I think we kept social distancing, I'm not sure," Gary quipped after a clip of him high-fiving former England striker Alan Shearer.

"I don't think we will if they [England] carry on," he added.
