Video shows Donald Trump teeing-off at his Doonbeg Golf Resort during Ireland visit

Donald Trump has left Ireland, but not before he got a round of golf in at his Doonbeg Resort.

The US President teed it up at his course in Co Clare this morning, before stopping to take pictures with school children during his round.

Trump Doonbeg tweeted a video of the Commander-in-Chief teeing-off earlier today.

They said: "The President of the United States @POTUS on the 1st tee box this morning in Doonbeg."

He later surprised a number of children by inviting them to meet him on the course.

The children were standing around 200 yards away from Mr Trump on a farm which is close to the school.

They started waving American flags when they spotted him golfing.

The President and his secret service team indicated to let the children come across the course.

Brian Shanahan’s son, Rory is pictured with Trump resting his hands on his son’s shoulders.

Brian told the Irish Mirror: “He took the time to take thousands of photos with all the teachers and kids.

“He shook all the children’s hands. It was very unexpected.

“He was asking them how they were and did they like golf.

“It wasn’t planned, the school just went on a whim.”
